Wow! I don't know about you, but our weekend FLEW by! We have been working really hard to get everything ready for Christmas :)
Our Bible reading for today was Matthew 1:18-21. After reading our Bible, we started looking at Sweden. Some of the most interesting things we learned was that Swedens decorate their homes with straw, reminding themselves of the manger Jesus was born in. They often also use goats, made of straw, to guard the Christmas tree! Not sure why they do that, but we found it fascinating, nonetheless.
Our book for the day was Fern the Little Christmas Tree, by Jo Berry Sinclair. Such a cute cute story! To go along with our story, we decided to make paper chain trees. They turned out great!
For dinner, we decided to have salmon with potatoes, common in Sweden. We served ours with some collards. The dinner tasted fabulous!
