Day 7
What a day! With it being the weekend, we didn't study any particular country. We did, however, read our Bible, a book, and complete a craft. First, though, we headed to home Depot for some fun. The first Saturday of the month, Home Depot holds a fun filled free building workshop for the kids. This month's was making a wooden tic-tac-toe game. The kids have a blast hammering and gluing. Once we were done there, we did some shopping. While the majority of our shopping is done, the kids get a new Christmas outfit each year, so we have been getting those. If anyone has a suggestion for our oldest, we would love to hear it! We would love to find a Christmas dress for her, but finding one long enough seems next to impossible :/
Our Bible verses were Luke 1:18-25. We also read Dream Snow, by Eric Carle. The kids seemed to really enjoy the whimsicalness of the story :) Since the kids completed the project at Home Depot, we held off on any other projects.
Day 8
Church! Oh how blessed we are with a Bible teaching, God fearing, neighbor loving church! The sermon was convictional and encouraging all at the same time!
Our Bible verses for today were Luke 1:26-38. Our book was one of my absolute favorites - The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey, by P.J. Lynch. If you have not read this one, I would HIGHLY recommend getting it, either by buying it, or borrowing it from the library. Our craft was a little different - making shaped pizzas. FUN!!!
