Thanksgiving is always a special time for our family! With the job my hubby is currently in, he is off on the holidays, as long as he isn't deployed. It is a time for our family to enjoy one another and be thankful for the love we share and the many blessings God has bestowed on us. It also embarks us on our journey of preparation for Christmas... but I'll get into that in a different post :) This year was especially meaningful, as earlier in November we headed back to our home state to visit with our extended families, but even more so, to help my older sister with a family crisis... her youngest was severely burnt on both legs. We were (and are) very thankful he survived and is healing up extremely well!
Anyone who knows me, knows I love to cook! If there is a way to "play" in the kitchen, be it designing with food, trying a new technique, or trying a new recipe, I am all about it! Soooooo be prepared for lots of food pictures :)
